     Parker is a 2013 American crime thriller film directed by Taylor Hackford. Starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, the film is based on Donald E. Westlake's novel Flashfire.

Plot

      Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief, who doesn't steal from the poor or hurt innocent people. The film opens with Parker being asked to take on a five man job with a crew he doesn't know. The job goes well but the leader of the crew double-crosses him. They shoot Parker and leave him for dead. However, he survives and follows them to Palm Beach, Florida to get revenge on them. Disguising himself, he enlists the help of real estate agent Leslie Rogers (Jennifer Lopez), one of their targeted victims, to find out about the plan his former crew has made.

     The Last Stand is an American action film directed by Kim Ji-woon planned for release in 2013. It will be Arnold Schwarzenegger's first leading role since Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003. This will be the first American production for Kim Ji-woon and cinematographer Kim Ji-yong.

Plot

     Ray Owens (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is sheriff of the quiet US border town of Sommerton Junction after leaving the LAPD following a bungled operation. Following his escape from the FBI, a notorious drug baron, his gang, and a hostage are heading toward Sommerton Junction where the police are preparing to make a last stand to intercept them before they cross the border. Owens is reluctant to become involved but ultimately joins in with the law enforcement efforts.

Plot

     New York City police officer Billy Taggart is involved in a controversial shooting, but he is kept out of jail by Mayor Hostetler. Taggart reforms himself into a private investigator, though he struggles to make money. The mayor offers him $50,000 to investigate his wife Cathleen to determine if she is having an affair. As a result of the investigation, Taggart learns that there is more to the mayor than meets the eye.

     Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is 2013 American action-adventure horror film directed by Tommy Wirkola and filmed in 3-D.

It is a continuation to the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton have been cast in the titular roles, while Famke Janssen has been cast as the leader of a coven of evil witches that they seek out to destroy.

     It is set to be released in 3-D and IMAX 3D on January 25, 2013.

Plot

     Catching up with Hansel (Renner) and Gretel (Arterton), fifteen years after the traumatic incident involving a gingerbread house, the siblings have grown into vengeful bounty hunters dedicated to exterminating witches. Over the years, the siblings became expert hunters, famous for their proficiency at tracking and taking down their prey. Although still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy as for an unknown reason harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.

     The Mayor of Augsburg recruits them to rid the town and nearby forests of an evil sorceress (Janssen) who is planning to sacrifice many local children at the witches' gathering during the upcoming 'Blood Moon' night in two days time. To make things worse, the duo also has to deal with the brutal Sheriff Berringer (Stormare) who has taken power in Augsburg and conducts a very indiscriminate witch-hunt of his own.

     Gangster Squad is a crime film directed by Ruben Fleischer, from a screenplay written by Will Beall, starring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone and Sean Penn.

     It is the story of LAPD Detectives who are attempting to keep Los Angeles free of gangsters during the 1940s and '50s. The film was originally set to be released September 7, 2012, but in the wake of the 2012 Aurora shooting, the film was bumped to a January 11, 2013 release date by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Plot

      In 1949, post-WWII Los Angeles, gangster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) has become the most powerful figure in the California criminal underworld, and intends to continue to expand his criminal enterprise to Chicago and New York. The police have not been able to stop Cohen's ruthless rise, as Cohen has eliminated witnesses and bribed both the court and the police, controlling both illegal and legal sides of L.A.

      Determined to put a stop to Cohen, Chief Bill Parker (Nick Nolte), the head of the Los Angeles Police Department, creates a secret police unit with the sole mission of stopping Cohen and bringing him to justice. Respected L.A police officer and Parker's old friend, Sgt. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin) is placed in charge of recruiting additional officers. With the help of his wife, Connie (Mireille Enos), he recruits Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) and detectives Coleman Harris (Anthony Mackie), Conway Keeler (Giovanni Ribisi), Navidad Ramirez (Michael Peña) and Max Kennard (Robert Patrick). Calling themselves the "Gangster Squad", the unit begins the task of destroying Cohen's criminal operations.

     The unit's plans go well, and the unit strikes several successful blows at the heart of Cohen's criminal organization and manages to shut down a very lucrative wire gambling business. Cohen believes someone has betrayed him and strikes out at those around him, including his girlfriend Grace Faraday (Emma Stone). Wooters has also been romancing Faraday and tries to help her escape from Cohen. Cohen discovers that the police unit bugged his house, and is able to lure the police unit into a trap in Los Angeles' Chinatown while Keeler is killed at the unit's operation. Faraday later witnesses Cohen murder Wooters' friend, Jack Whalen (Sullivan Stapleton), who was helping her escape. With Faraday willing to testify against Cohen, O'Mara, along with the remaining members of his unit, blackmails a crooked bribed judge to sign an arrest warrant for Cohen, then goes to the Park Plaza Hotel to arrest him.

      Cohen and his men engage in a gun battle with the police unit, with Wooters being wounded in the process. Cohen and his bodyguard Karl Lennox (Holt McCallany) escape, but O'Mara pursues them, which results in their vehicle crashing into a fountain. Kennard is shot, but he manages to kill Lennox before he can shoot O'Mara, and later dies. Cohen and O'Mara fight each other in a bare-knuckle boxing fight, while a crowd of onlookers and journalists gather. O'Mara finally beats Cohen and has him arrested, ending his reign as a crime boss and the spread of the mafia into the Los Angeles area. The Gangster Squad was never mentioned in taking down Cohen, their surviving members remaining a secret. Cohen is sentenced to 25 to life, and soon after dies in the prison.

     Texas Chainsaw 3D is 2013 3D slasher film directed by John Luessenhop and written by Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus, with later drafts by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop. It is the seventh film in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise and is a continuation sequel to the 1974 original film, immediately picking up where it left off. Filming began on the summer of July 2011. The film will be released on January 4, 2013.

Plot

     The movie picks up where the original left off, following a young woman named Heather Miller who inherits a mansion from a grandmother she never knew she had, only to discover that the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface still resides there.
